Default County Clare quilt kit

I purchased this quilt kit many (like 10+) years ago and just decided to give it a go. I have been quilting for many year so I know I followed the pattern exactly. HOWEVER, when I got to the part where you have to start putting blocks together, it didn't work. There was no way it was ever going to work. I e-mailed the designer of the pattern to see if they had a work-around. They got back to me that they were no longer in business and couldn't help me at all. So, if you also have this kit, do not bother trying to make the quilt. Use the material for some other pattern.

Well that’s disappointing. Use what you have and work out your own version.

Is that the pattern you are referring to?

If so, looks tricky/complicated.

Here is another County Clare kit, this one from Jinny Beyer (who I think just retired). Is this it? You might post what you have completed and see if someone here can help.

If nothing else - this is an object lesson for me. Never buy a kit with plans to do it...later.... I'm really sorry things sucked so hard. Not fair.

There are several quilt patterns with this name. Please tell us who wrote the pattern or post a link to the pattern. Thanks!

Just guessing from the (not very clear) photo, it looks like 16 blocks arranged 4x 4 with a Y seam in each block. Is this what your directions called for?
