Question Craftsy Special?

I keep getting e-mail messages to join Premium Craftsy for only $2.49. This seems a little strange to me. Has anyone joined Craftsy for $2.49? I guess I am being cautious but to me I wonder what the real deal is.

Yes, mine was $4.95, I think, but I live in Canada.
If you do subscribe, be sure to call them right away and tell them to take the auto renew off of your account so you don't get charged a bunch of money next year.

There is a $3.00 special for new subscribers on their front page. https://www.craftsy.com/ I would rather go directly to the web site and subscribe rather than click on anything in an email.

I seem to recall it's a very basic membership and you have to purchase the classes you are interested in on top of the membership. You won't get access to much of the course catalog otherwise. You have to pay extra $ for a Gold or something like that membership to watch most of the content offered.

I just bought the basic that they offered for $5.00 and I get to watch a huge number of video's. There are the occasionally "Extended Contect" videos that you have to pay for, but it's worth the $5.00 to watch all the rest.
Also, remember there are other types of videos available. Just watched a sourdough bread one yesterday and learned what I was doing wrong.

I too kept getting emails from them so for $2.49 for the first year - I went for it. Good advice from Watson about calling and getting "auto renewal" turned off. It seemed to be pretty straightforward, so I'll give it a try. My original plan was to keep it 6 mos and then cancel. I did keep their contact information so that hopefully it goes smoothly.
