    So I was going through craigslist came across this ad for "lots of thread for $10". Ended up buying it. There are about 90-100 spools of assorted threads in size and color, from hardly used to not used at all. While I was organizing the sizes and colors I got to looking at some of the lables, about 30 of the small wooden spools contain pure silk thread. Have no idea what i'm going to use it for but I was thinking maybe embroidery or something. Fun part is some of the larger spools are also on wooden spools. I don't think they have put thread on wooden spools for a long time, but the thread is good and stong. She also threw in the 15qt. plastic storage container it was in. I won't have to buy thread for a long time.

    Pure silk thread is the absolute BEST for hand applique!! Awesome find!

    at our guild they say that silk thread is great for hand applique

    I got some thread from my sister the other day that I had left with mother about 30 years. Great thread and still good and I can use it all

    Fabulous find.........I've been wandering through Craigslist a little more often lately and kicking myself that i didn't snap up the fabric that was for sale in the next town a while back.
