Cricut?
I have been wanting to try appliqué.
My previous---now taking a backseat---hobby was card making, scrapbooking, small photo albums, etc. I have a Cricut with many cartridges and love all the cute die cutting possibilities. My love of paper has now turned into a love of fabric.
So, back to the point. I have seen several you tube videos of using a Cricut with heat and bond and cutting fabric. It would be so cute to cut some basic shapes, hexagons maybe, cute mugs for a mug rug...
Have you done this? I want to give it a try and would love some suggestions!
Thanks.

I have done it and the problem I had was getting a clean cut, probably would be okay for simple design but not intricate ones, you have to have a new mat just for fabric so that it is very tacky,a deep cut blade, and a brayer to get a successful cut, and even then I ended up cutting a few stray threads that didn't cut. The only problem with the cricut is that you are tied to their cartridges unless you buy the new one that just came out that is supposed to be comparable to the silhouette. I can say that I love my new scanncut as it cuts fabric a lot nicer than the cricut
