    I know isn't that amazing! My pins are also by Dritz at least the majority, like everyone else have had a few duds.

    I hated using those pins, so I gave them away. I hand baste my quilting projects now.

    I pin baste all of my quilts. Have no idea the size other than they aren't the big ones. I've had no problem with them being dull. I don't close these when putting them in the box and the biggest problem is that they get tangled together! Usually just dropping the bunch will take care of that. I have no idea of the brand as I've had them way too long.

    I also have the curves pins. Sure, you are bound to get one or two duller ones in a patch, but 99.9% are sharp and stay that way. Simply remove the dull ones and you are good to go.

    I bought mine at a low price and liked them so I bought more. The size seems to be right with 80/20 batting. If you are using thicker batting, you might want bigger pins.
