Of course, I have done it.

If you look at grandma's quilts, even small pieces would have been joined. No scrap waisted.

When your quilt is done, that imperfection will never be noticed.

I've done it! As in my "enough pink" quilt I posted awhile back. That was a Turning Twenty Again pattern. I bet my GD will never notice!

I'm going to try piecing it together and see how it goes. It is three pieces and I have the same fabric to piece to it. They are mostly dark, so I will let you know how it goes.

Crazy quilts even have intentionally pieced patches. Go ahead and do it.

I've done it, in fact, just today. I pieced together five small strips to make a 4.5 " block...bad girl, bad girl! BUt what else are you supposed to do? Didn't have anything else in my stash that I wanted to part with...and this doesn't look bad at all!

I've done it on commissioned quilts. No biggie.

Just put that pieced block on the side and it will be less noticeable. Your quilt your rules. I have pieced a setting triangle because I cut it diagonally with the squares wrong sides together. They are not the same. I just make a bigger seam and press it open, less noticeable that way.

I have several sashing strips pieced on the quilt that's being finished now. I cut some 8" strips when I needed 8 1/2". I preferred to piece them rather than buy more fabric. It doesn't show.
