Cutting threads

Am I missing something here? My machine clips threads for me as I sew. After I quilt a quilt I wash it (this brings up a lot of loose ends) and go over it searching for loose ends. I can't imagine taking a quilt out of the machine to clip a thread I've just sewn. That would take way too much time. Yes, it is boring to clip all at once, but that is better than interrupting my quilting "flow".

I don't have many any more as I try to strip piece and use my next block as my leaders and enders, but I do clean up my blocks as I press them. I left one until it was done and it was boring, plus the threads were caught in other seams.

When sewing other stuff (home goods, garments), I just left that part till the end because most things would get snipped off in the construction process. But quilts have a lot more threads! Finally, on the last one (of the few I've made), I trimmed them all as I went along -- pieces, rows, quilting lines, the works. Much easier!
If I have ends I want to run in instead of snipping, I'll mark those with a little safety pin so I don't miss them later.
