Default Dear Jane Help

Hi Guys,

Well, I purchased the book and I'm now wondering about the way forward. Do I use the templates as paper piecing patterns? Are the templates just a guide???

Also, I thought there was a link to others doing the Dear Jane but I cannot seem to find it!

Any help would be great!

Hugs

Caroline

It has been several years since I bought the book so don't remember much. I have it set up on my computer and changed the blocks to 6 in. The instructions are not the easiest way to do blocks so made several using Eleanor Burns method. But have moved on to other things so that's all Ive done.

Did you know there is DJ software that will enable you to print the PP patterns?

You can order it from both the DJ site and EQ.
It's a stand alone program, so while developed by EQ,
you do not need any of their other software to be able to use it.

Just type in Dear Jane into the search box on this forum. Here is one of the threads: http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...n-t175669.html

The book does not go into ANY detail on HOW to construct the blocks. The book also has some blocks drafted 'in the manner of ' - so they do not exactly replicate some of the blocks.

From what I understand, the software is not compatible with Mac computers without 'adaption' software.

The "Thatquilt" blog shows a lot of good methods and info.

Like I always say: "enlarge one block pattern and try it if you have any doubts!" Go for it! Rather than doing my freezer paper applique "from the top" as they do, I do it from the back as tuted on the Twiddletails site http://www.twiddletails.com/store/in...age=page&id=21 (the link is also on the "Thatquilt" blog.
