I haven't been very inspired by the newer fabrics, either. I dislike floral fabrics, and that's mostly what I see. The fabrics used in the quilts in the quilt magazines don't have enough contrast to make the quilt look interesting, and then I have trouble picturing the quilt for different fabrics.

Mostly what I've liked lately have been the batiks, much more so online than in local stores. The local stores have just a few batiks, and they're always the same.

So, mostly I've been making quilts from my stash. I guess that's not a bad thing. I'm reducing the piles of fabric in the house. But if I ever run out, I don't know what I'd buy besides batiks.

I do like Moda marbles, Stonehenge, geometric prints. And I buy some juvenile for kids quilts. I like Jinny Beyer's fabrics (but not the floral border prints), but I don't like the idea of supporting a tobacco company (RJR).
