design decision
I need to decide what I'm going to do about one of the leaves on my quilt. I missed stitching it down when I appliqued every thing else on the quilt. So now I would have to stitch around it after the quilting is done and it would look different on the back than the other leaves and flowers. They'll all have some internal quilting lines but I won't stitch all the way around the edges.
It's the one on the bottom left. Rip it off or fix it and have it look different on the back? It's going in the fair.

That's a beautiful quilt. I would attach it; it may look a little different on the back but would it be a place where you could put your label? Appliqueing the label in that area may cover the difference altho I don't think a slight change in the quilting would be that much of a judging factor. Good luck, let us know what you decide and how you do at the fair. Looks like a winner to me.
(This is a suggestion from a very anal person so I know why you're concerned LOL)

Sorry, but I can't tell what type of applique you did with the others?
I'm guessint you have a machine stitched edge, being that you're concerned about the back appearance.
What about machine stitching in the same manner as you did for the others.
Yes, it shows on the back as you said ... but cover that over with your label on the back overtop of it and/or put a couple of flowers on the back, and hand stitch them on.

Poppies are my very favorite flower! I would do this last leaf the way you did the others and then put a single poppy on the back to cover the difference because you can never have enough poppies.

Are you doing a special stitch around the leaf? If it is a straight stitch just inside the appliqué (raw edge appliqué) I would stitch around the leaf. Then I would straight stitch just outside the other appliqués and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the back. If you did a fancy buttonhole stitch around all the other appliqués, then stitching it and putting the label over the back sounds like a good option.
