You could even do it without some of the sewing, just do your rectangle and then do the corner pieces like with a snowball block, then the only sewing/cutting would be for the corners. Nice design, and a great job.

i'm not sure what it's called exactly. i found it in the same section as lace and ribbon. joanne's should have, i think. i got it at fabric land, i don't live in the US so we don't have joanne's here but i assume it's the same idea as fabricland, but better prices.
