I'm looking for a relatively easy pattern for a baby quilt. I have 4"squares of jungle animals. The only idea I have is a log cabin, but I wonder if there is something cuter. Any ideas?

A rail fence makes a nice baby quilt and is very easy to make 4- 2/1/2" strips of different fabrics is all you need to make the rails. I have made many rail fences over the years.

Warm Wishes is a nice quilt design also. You can show off the focus fabrics in this pattern.

So many possibilities .... here's a few ....
* Square in a Square can be a fun one for focus fabrics.
And can give you a nice secondary pattern.

* If you have matching animals, do it as doubles/triples for an Eye Spy.

* Traditional blocks with sashing and cornerstones.

* Irish Chain pattern.

* Surround the animals with strips to make Bright Hope blocks.
Again another nice secondary pattern.

Honestly, there truly are a gazillion possibilities.
Just pick your favourite pattern and have fun creating!

Good Luck!

If you have 4 1/2 inch squares, I would suggest a "happy blocks" quilt. I've made a couple of them and have been really happy with them. It's easy. It's festive and perfect for those squares. I made my first one when I was involved in an "I spy" swap group. The trick to making it easy is to alternate the way you put on the sashing, so you don't have to match seams except on the rows. The instructions are in the files of the group at https://groups.io/g/ISpyQuiltSwap/topics. You have to join to access the files, but anyone can join. They keep you moderated for a few posts until they are sure you aren't a spammer. They have about 10 swaps per year. One will be what they call a "Pieced swap", which was rail fence last year and happy blocks the two or three years before that. They vote on which one to do each year, so what will be done this year has not be decided. Below are a couple that I made. These were made for toddlers, so you might want to mute the colors somewhat.
