Awesome Hubby! Please don't make me spend 12 hours a day in that awful sewing room! lol Your new room will be worth the wait. Have fun!

My DH already does the cooking - lucky me! In our last house, he would come down and turn the lights to the sewing room off when it was time to eat. Of course, I always had to tell him to turn them back on until I finished the seam I was sewing or pressing! I don't mind doing the laundry. It will be a good excuse to get up and move a little bit.

Oh how I feel for you not being able to sew for 5 months I wouldn't be able to stand it! However a wonderful sewing space is so worth it, And I would take him up on being chained to the sewing machine since that means he gets to do the cooking and the cleaning whiile you play all day!

I am really getting excited about moving into my studio. Maybe by tomorrow afternoon! I have done a little sewing on the kitchen table, but after years of having my own space, I don't like having to put the machine and stuff away every time I quite sewing. I'll try to send photos in the next few days.

Congrats on the new studio that will soon be yours. Twelve hours a day sounds alright to me!

Congratulations on your new studio and a handy husband who is willing to try. I got a new sewing studio this past spring and I had to pay someone to do the work. I was without my machines for 3 months and I really missed them but I love my new space.

I know exactly how you feel, we gutted a bedroom, it meant taking all my fabric, books, etc. out of that room until it was finished...It was a couple of months before I got back into it but it turned out lovely...new table, new lighting..it's just a joy to sew in that room now and you will enjoy yours once it's finished and be inspired....Happy sewing!!!!!

Congratulations on your new sewing studio. Frustrated DH will be as happy as we are when we finally finish that quilt that caused us grief. Give him a kiss and post pics of your new space.
