They talked about the rising cost of cotton and why. He looked at me and said, "good thing you have a lot of fabric and won't have to buy any for a while." I just nodded. My stash is no where near some of yours. I have just one plastic three drawer cabinet and he thinks i have a lot. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. I will be buying on sale and looking for bargains.

One of our local thrift stores frequently has fabric. And they only charge $1.00 per piece. It certainly has helped me build my stash on the cheap.

I get discouraged by the cost of some of the fabric. BUT ~ I do have lots of clothes that my kids are outgrowing at the rate of a bad weed and am looking more internal for scrap fabric building. If its not pure cotton it will be backed with interfacing. One way or another I will keep sewing and creating. =)

Oh honey you still have a long ways to go before you have enough fabric to last a while. LOL!!

Mine didn't 'get it' either until he got into woodworking. You should see his stash of pen blanks, bowl blanks and pieces of wood he has just because 'the grain of the wood is so nice.' And his stuff is alot more costly than mine!

No you should run before it all goes up and get three or more closets full. Three plastic drawers is nothing. I am still building and DH is enabling.
