Wow, what a wonderful accomplishment. It is a beauty and the story as to how it came to be makes it just that much more precious. Blessing to both of you. Merry Christmas and a blessed and happy new year. Thank you for sharing.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

Awesome, What an inspiration to all of us.
We would worry less about what others think of us if we realized how seldom they do.

I am so happy that he and the quilt are being documented. Hopefully, this quilt will be picked up by "other magazines, museums..."

Very inspirational. My hubby had a 6 bypass about two years ago and I know about determination. Wonderful job by you both.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Diet Dr. Pepper in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

What determination! What perseverance! I can't imagine making a quilt like that without the complications of having had a stroke. The quilt is beautiful, and so is your DH.
