Hand Applique - another question....
#1
I'm going to be using bias strips for a vine. The vine is in a circle. The diameter of the circle is 22" - so it's a pretty big circle. The instructions say to cut the bias strips in 4 pieces and use the four peices to make the circle. Is there a reason why they want 4 seperate pieces for the circle, why can't I just use one big strip? It is a continuous bias strip, so I think it would curve ok, and there wouldn't be as many seams. Any ideas?

Maybe it was the way they did it so that's how they recommend doing it. Is there a flower or leaf or something that overlaps the circle at each section? I would use one continuous piece but I would pause and lay it out every now and again to make sure it's curving ok since it's such a big circle.
