I'd say your fabric fulfilled all those criteria! And the alternate light and dark sashing set it off a treat AND your FMQ is fabulous. :-D

PS What you say about the pattern 'twisting', do you mean that the repeat across the width, ie selvage to selvage, was uniform? This sometimes happens and if you want to vary the blocks up a little, you can, after cutting blocks across the strips up to the point where you reach the same repeat, take a little slice out of the stack, say 1", just to move you along the repeat slightly. This should give more variation. Just for future reference. Though what you've made here is beautiful. :-D
Great idea!! Thanks for the tip. But even though the blocks are similar, they, yet are not exactly alike.

Oh, I love that fabric. Can you tell us who the maker of
the print is and what line it is from, if it is current? Those
are my colors!! If you don't know who made it, do you
have a piece of it that you could post so we could see the
fabric before you cut it up?
Thanks,
Marcia

So sorry Marcia. I used the left over for FMQ practice and I just looked at my favorite online shops but I was not able to find it.

I did quite some shopping the last couple of weeks as I am trying to build a 30`stash and going through the sale section I found that floral at a very cheap price......all that I can recall. So sorry

That's o.k. Thanks for checking anyway. If you do
remember where you bought it, or at least the
manufacturer, I will start searching.
Have a Great Day!

Your FMQ looks great. I love the colors, it looks like a vintage victorian piece!

Granny, I think your quilt is fabulous. I am working on a 4PP now that is a cranberry paisley with blues and golds in it. A lot of my blocks look similar also, but I think it will be OK when I get it finished, which will be awhile as it is my "camping quilt." I only work on it when we are camping. Ever since I started it I have been wanting to make one out of Kaffee Fassett fabric and one of these days I will. I think his fabrics are awesome.
