OK. I am a retired, single, senior (a young one I might add) and I work part time leading a fitness class for seniors(older than me :-D ) three mornings a week. Last Nov the wife of one of the couples that come to my classes passed away. After a time, the husband mentioned going through his wifes belonging and doing something with them. I told him, when he felt ready, that I would come over and help him. He had decided to give all her things to the local Fellowship Center and a couple of weeks ago I went over and we started going through her things . When I pulled this machine out of its case I knew what it was right to start with and caught my breath. He asked me if I sewed and when I told him I did, he said, well take it. I offered to pay him but he refused any money.

I havn't cleaned her yet but she does purr like a kitten.

What a sweet memento! And one that you can use everyday. If I had to have only one sewing machine, this would be the one I would pick.
