I like the first because the larger white spaces could be used to feature some fancy quilting. Both are very attractive.

Yes, I agree with Bobbinalong, I really like the first one.

I like #2 for the reasons Givio stated...still a tie? ha!!

second one...pops...other not so much

I really like both equally so no tie breaker here LOL Thanks for the new idea for placement though, as I have done the second one before. Now that my FMQing is improving, I may give the first one a try too.

My eye sees #2 easier. And I like 2 the best but both are great.

I think #2 looks more complex - and would require less quilting - I only do straight line or "ditch" quilting - which is why I am saying that.
