Cathie, your pastel was made by making up 5 different blocks using the same color with the white, right? I love that one. They are all great. All of you gals did well. I've made 2 D9P tops so far, but neither has been finished. One is layered, the other is still waiting. :?

I like the D9P as well as about any. It is so easy to create different looks, by the placement of color, or how you lay out the blocks when re-sewing. Our group came up with three different patterns when re-sewing and one new one when putting the blocks together. I like to use 3 colors.

I'm getting ready to start another one. I got out my colored pencils as I couldn't quite make a good decision.
SO...I used pencil as my Thomas fabric that I've already purchased, then red for red and blue for blue. I drew out the pattern of 9 D9P blocks with red as the center square and blue for the sides, then drew out another the same way with red for the sides and blue for the center. I couldn't believe how different they ended up. It really helped me figure out what to put where. I can't wait to start stitching.

Hi Gals...I'm not always able to come by..but checked in to find this post...and surprised..I am currently working on this very same pattern. I LOVE IT. Mine is done with the Faded Memories collection and is perfect for my Shabby Chic look. I am putting wide rick rack on each square going in different directions. CUTE.
I loved looking at what has been done here.
Happy Quilting.
