Default My Sparrow just landed and I'm happy

I ordered a Sparrow 30 --Ever Sew-- through Walmart. It came from SewVac Direct. I'd like to open a thread here with others who have this machine. What foot do you use to piece?

Do you have the table on it or flat on another surface? I'm just getting the feel of it. So far it is great.
The only trouble I'm having is the guilt I am feeling abandoning my Bernina that I've sewed on for the last 40 years. It's fairly worn out and has had the hook replaced and some trips to the dr. recently . Thus the new machine.

I wanted a drop in bobbin and the needle up/down option. And it was very affordable.

Very happy for you! No guilt merited. Your old Bernina may be begging for retirement.

Congratulations on your new machine, how exciting....You should have no feelings of guilt, your Bernina owes you nothing, 40 years out of one machine deserves a good retirement, most humans don't devote 40 years to one place... Enjoy your new Sparrow.....

I retired my 1965 Singer 328 a few months ago.
My new “girl” is a Pfaff and we’re getting used to each other.

I bought a vintage sewing table and ordered an acrylic surround for mine. Took out the recliners in the 5th wheel and put my table and machine in that spot. . I bought it last fall as a traveling machine, just a pound or so heavier than a featherweight. I sold my FW to pay for my 30.

Marcia, I'm so happy for you! Those machines look awesome and all the reviews I've read are positive. Enjoy!
