Do you always iron your fabric before you cut it?

I ALWAYS iron. I only starch though if I have stubborn creases...which seems a lot recently. Its too hard to cut evenly if you dont and then no matter how perfectly you sew your seams the blocks still wont match up. Too frustrating not to. Hope that helps.

I alway's wash (no softener), iron (starch or water), block the fabric (so no unevenness), fold so fits nicely into drawer until needed. That way, I know all fabric is washed and if I have to iron again before using, I figure I am just getting my iron warmed up for ironing seams. Only takes a moment.

I always press my fabric before cutting. Quite often, I only press enough to get the cuts I need. If I have a yard of fabric and am only going to cut a 3" strip, I'll only press about 6" of the fabric on the edge that I'm going to cut.
