Default Do you do quilt-alongs?

I saw a quilt-along awhile back and thought about doing it when I saw a pattern for something similiar that was free. Free pattern was "Cabin Steps" on a guild website: itsastitchquiltguild.com (?)
Doing mine in civil war fabrics and shirtings. Loving it so far!

So pretty! I love your collection of CW prints! I have joined in a few quilt alongs, they are a lot of fun.

I have participated in a few quilt alongs. Due to my work schedule I’ve at times not been able to keep up with the schedule but I just work on them as I can. I’ve also done a couple of the mystery sew alongs saving the clues and working on them as I was able. I’ve found sometimes seeing the other participants progress helps me stay motivated to continue working on it.

Default Have you done quilt alongs

I have done a couple over the years and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I don’t participate to enter for prizes, I enjoy learning new techniques and ideas. I was trying to post a photo but the paper clip is not allowing me to do so this morning.

Oooo!! I really love your top. It is gorgeous..

As for quilt-alongs, I generally do not do them or mystery quilts. That said, however, I just joined a google group focused on "small" quilts and they have two projects going on right now - a January project and a mystery quilt. I am doing both. The verdict is still out -lol.
