I like the tan and brown with the print.

The white is s distracting to me.

Sometimes lower contrast quilts seem " cuddlier" to me.

I like the one with the one skinny white strip on top of the tan. That's enough white and makes the strip look 3-D, which is kind of cool.

I like the tan and brown alone together the best. The dark green is okay, the light green not so much, but the white is almost cold to me, with all the warm colors, and it competes with the print. The tan and brown complement the print and make it take the focus.

Yeaaaaaaaa ...... for the backing!

IMHO the lighter green gives a little cleaner/crisper/fresher look to the overall quilt.
With this being for a baby/toddler, I think that would be a nicer effect.

My hesitation though is whether the green really goes with the print.
And so, I went back to your original thread about the print to get a better look.
From that, I don't think the light green goes with it at all.

Perhaps that darker green would look better? And maybe not!
Maybe try it with the tan instead of the brown?

Just one of the disadvantages of us not getting to see the fabrics IRL ...
... and why photos truly are not always worth a 1000 words!

MeyerT ... go with your , you really do have a good eye ... as you can see it IRL.
Trust yourself!

For others who want to "see" the print better ............

I actually really like having the white incorporated. I think it makes the white in the body of your fabric 'pop' a bit. Perhaps my monitor is a bit off but I think the tan/green make it quite monochromatic. Then again, if that is the look you are after - either of those would work. I like to find the least dominant color in my top and use a thin strip of either sashing/border to make that least visible color pop a bit just for some added interest.

But that's just me.

I happen to like the thin white in it myself.. brightens the print a bit.

I like the last picture of this post. It looks somewhat like a horse blanket. Pretty cool really.

Have you considered print, tan, brown, tan, print, tan, brown, tan, print?

I was going to suggest this. Check out the quick strippie quilt @ www.Maryquilts.com

I think the second accent under the brown balances everything out.
