The inserts fit around you machine so you have a totally flat surface. You can also get a clear one to make it a light table or a solid on for just a plain surface.

I have not seen the other table, other than in a video, but I think it looks sturdier.

I've never seen the gidget, but have the sew ez and so glad I do. I love it!!! Highly recommend it to anyone. I use mine at home, since my son was born, that's all I sew on now. Don't want to go back to using a table.

I have a Roberts portable sewing table. I love it! It is the right height for me. I take it to quilt retreats. I move it where ever I want to sew in my house. I purchased the insert that fits my sewing machine. That is extra but well worth it. Go to sewingtableshop.com. They have several to choose from.

I have a larger machine and these tables were only for regular machines. They now have them for the larger machines. If they had come out sooner thats the way I would have gone.
Much cheaper than buying a cabinet with a lift. Mine ran $550. and was really hard to put togather. You need two people to do it.

I have two of the sew Ez tables. One stays in my car trunk to take to classes and sewdays. I like having my own space when I sew. The other one stays in the house. I have inserts that fit all my machines. I bought it for the ease of transporting.
