I don't have someone who inspired me, but something actually. I think what got me started on quilting is wanting something of my own, and what a quilt represented to me at the time. Tradition, comfort, heritage, family and 'home'. I went in search of those items. I found them, and I just cherish the work and creativity that goes into them now.

I had a very special home-ec teacher, Mrs. Prentis, who took an interest in me. She spend extra time with me after school and inspired me to love sewing and also taught me to knit. She truly was in inspiration to me in many ways - that was 50 years ago and I'm still grateful for her influence in my life.
