They would be finished 2" squares..... Or 2.5" before sewn... The block I did, was 1.5 " finished squares Or 2" before sewn. My block is 15". and about 21" turned on point!

Thanks for sharing. I just finished a Christmas fabric version of my Can't see the Forest for the trees. Still photograph challenged.
I purchased the digital version, looks like a 20 1/2 inch block. What about a jelly roll? I've already got it printed off and ready for a notebook.
Thanks to all who identified the name.

A minor name correction it is Purely Petals but I found it easily with "picking petal". Those of you with the technology to recreate this block. Whoo Hoo! for you and thank you. It seems to have caught the eye of many of us. A nice use of scraps whether bold or soft colors. Thank you for asking the question McDaniel........

Purely Petals is a later design http://carriedawayquilting.blogspot....etals-and.html that only has one square in the center. The Picking Petals has a 16 patch in the center and some other design elements http://carriedawayquilting.blogspot....s-sweetly.html as is mcdaniel023's (Thread starter)

I don't know the name of it but it should be easy enough to graph out. Beautiful block.
