Default Do you know the name of this block?

Greetings! I am trying to research a fan quilt block and -- so far -- have had no luck finding its name. This is a vintage quilt (1930s-40s) that I'm attempting to repair. The fans are all hand appliqued. Thanks for your help!

Looks like a version of a fan block.

It is set like Drunkard's Path. I wonder if it is a Drunkard's Path but with the 1/4 circle pieced in wedges?

    Thumbs up

Barbara Brackman's " Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns" identifies it by several names: Mohawk Trail, ca. 1933; Other id's more recent seem to be : Path of Fans (Nancy Cabot); Chinese Fan (QNM); Baby Bunting (QNM)Since you feel this is a 1930's quilt the first id would seem to fit more appropriately. Feed sack fabric was used extensively during this period and repeat of similar fabrics may also fit as feedsack. My DH's grandmother, Minnie Gunn, would send her DH to the feed store with specific instructions to bring back certain bags of grain/flour in feedsacks and in certain quantities. I have one old quilt she made, Colonial Ladies, which is made from feedsacks but carefully selected, especially for the background fabric.

Great story! An early version of sending the DH to the fabric store for a couple of yards of calico to finish up the quilt.
