Thanks Ube Quilting for reminding me of Roolen's tutorial. I want to try this one day. Need to make a folder on this computer called bucket list. So many ideas and so little time.

My quilt guild is doing the Rapid Fire Hunter's Star (by Deb Tucker) at retreat this summer. Can't wait to use the rulers I bought last summer.

Hunter Star. Besides all the patterns available, there is a ruler for making this quilt easier than cutting all the half sq traingles. Have fun what ever way you make this quilt.

This company has a the hunters Star pattern using half square triangles and it is sooooo much easier than the traditional way. I saw this at my LQS and was instantly hooked. It is simple to do with the Thangles pack but can also be done with just some hst. Just graph it out and break it down into triangles within the block. I have even made a miniature of the pattern this way. I have always loved this pattern but until I tried it with the triangles I thought it was too complex.
