Default Do You Listen To Music While You Quilt?

I like to put on a playlist while I quilt. Generally, the music genre matches whatever type of quilt I'm making. Right now, I'm working on some old fashioned, traditional quilts, so my music choice is bluegrass and old timey music. (The Tillers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Iris Dement, John Prine, etc.) When I move on to more contemporary quilt styles, I'll put on some Coltrane, or Brubeck, a 1930's style quilt, Billy Holiday, the Duke. What do you like to listen to?

My favorite is Jason Mraz. His music is very relaxing.

Sometimes I listen to music; but usually listen to mysteries on audio books. I love mysteries and only listen to audio books while I am quilting. Yesterday, I was making a quilt sandwich which is not my idea of fun; but I really wanted to know how the mystery ended so I kept pinning. Thanks to the audio book, I got that quilt sandwich completed in record time.

Not all the time, but for some reason I like to listen to 60's music when I sew. Go figure, as I graduated HS in 81'.

Music sometimes, but by far the most is tv, which I am only using as background noise. I like the old tv shows!

I'm always listening to something. I have a stereo and tv in the sewing room. If the kids are in there, I usually let them pick which music we are listening to. Most of the time, one of them has a movie on in there so as long as there is something on, I don't care what it is. If I'm quilting, usually it's some sort of rock music. gets me in the quilting mood.
