I make mine. I think it looks much better. Plus you have the option of solids or something wacky or pretty. Just plain unique. I used the pre-made bias from Wal-Mart, I didn't like the texture.

I make my own. I cut it 2.5 inches and fold it in half.

I make my own. Cut it 2.5 and press in half. roll it up like a jelly roll then lay it in my lap to sew on. Miter corners.

I too have the binding maker, Love it for larger projects. Still use the old fashion kind that you pin to the ironing board. Occasionally I'll just rip strips and sew them on with no ironing at all. An older quilter taught me how to do it, she called it rip and roll.

I've always made my own bindings. I keep whatever is left over and sometimes there will be enough for a small project or baby quilt.

I make my own, I like taking scraps from the quilt and making the binding out of those to accent it.

I make my own cutting 2 1/2 inch strips and ironing it in half. If i have a lot of binding, I wind it around a paper towel roll and lay it in my lap. I doesn't get all tangled up that way.
