I love tradional patterns and vintage material. However, I am a fabric freak and buy whatever turns me on but almost always tradional cotton quilting fabric. I do want to take on a bargello quilt as I admire them and you can use colors of your choice and make a real "beauty".

Well said. The colors, usually made in the colors of the year, remind me of something you can buy at a bland dept. store.

traditional patterns and some modern. I like alot of the 2 1/2" strip patterns. traditional fabric, reproduction, 30's, civil war. those types.

I like both but my favorites usually are updated old favorites--a new color scheme, a new technique or fabric.

Definately prefer traditional fabrics, but have used them with a modern pattern like d9p. I like some modern patterns when traditional scrappy fabrics are used. That said, I have bought some modern fabrics that I loved, but now don't know what to do with them. I only make traditional patterns with traditional fabrics for myself. The more modern I make to give away. A lot of the modern I find rather ugly.
