Default Do you reuse color catchers?

Just trying to be frugal....I always throw in a color catcher when I wash a quilting project for the first time. Most of the time the color catcher comes out as clean as when it went in....is it possible to reuse the sheets if they are clean? Would hate to reuse one and find out it doesn't work! :}

Only in the same load. If one has some colour on it, I mark it with a pencil #1 and throw in a couple more and re-wash. I do let the colour catcher dry and then use them for a windex/dust cloth and then into the trash.

If it comes out pretty clean I reuse and add a new one in with it. I've reused some 3-4 times.

I have reused them. They seem to work for me more than once

I never knew they could be reused. I have often thrown 2 or 3 in the wash and nothing runs so they end up white. Thanks.

I re-use them as long as they're still relatively clean

Oh yes, I have reused them several times--until they are horrible, nasty purply grey. They just seem to keep absorbing and absorbing and absorbing those runny dyes. I have not had a problem so far.

I do reuse them and haven't had a problem. I'm not sure why some people use 2 or 3 in one load. I have never used more than one at a time.

I haven't tried to reuse them. It didn't occur to me. I only use one at a time. I do use them in my general laundry when my family has new dark clothing, like jeans, briefs, shirts and they usually come out that grey-purpley color.
