So after much frustration with my bobbin thread getting all bunched up, I've gone back to using a leader when I piece.

How often do you use a leader (scrap piece of fabric) when you piece?

Every time?
Sometimes?
When I remember.
Never.

Never, but never heard of doing so. Maybe I should be?

LOL! When I remember! My little basket of leaders seems to move around a lot!

I sometimes use a scrap piece of fabric to start sewing. I am not into using "leaders" that you are actually contructing something else as you go. Just can't be that organized.

I use a straight stitch plate whenever possible and this really helps.

As often as I can remember now, since reading Bonnie Hunter's books. ;)
I also use a straight stitch plate whenever possible and this really helps.
