Are you kidding. I can never sew with shoes on. As soon as I come into the house I put on my flip flops. This way I can slip off the right one for controling the foot peddle of the machine. I tried sewing with shoes on one time. It felt so weird. I can not control the speed with shoes on.

DH insists that all shoes come off at the door (which can be a little embarassing to tell guests). In the winter, I might have socks on, but that's it. Have tried slippers, but wasn't comfortable - I like to feel the slightest pressure, I guess.

I'm with you. My shoes come off the 1st thing when I come home. Yes I sew with my shoes off.

I stay bare foot in my house always. Lots of foot problems and when I put my shoes on my dog knows he is going in his kennel. My feet are so tender I put my slippers on to g outside.

At one time I always wore shoes to sew (tennies). But now I only sew bare foot (summer) and like the others sox in winter. One can really feel the peddle better. And what the heck, it is more comfortable.
    Good thoughts.
