Don't you have a local grocery store that carries it?? I'm just wondering why this magazine would be so elusive?

Our local stores don't carry this magazine.
I don't know why. I can get "Quilt", "Fons & Porters, and "American Patchwork & Quilting".
We live in a very rural area.

I always buy it every month but so far have not seen the May June 2010 Issue on the newstand unless it has already sold out. I just got the May June issue of Fon's and Porter yesterday.

    Is this the block pattern?

    http://www.quiltmaker.com/articles/Carolina_Chain

You can go to her website and browse her tutorials. She uses the basic techniques for all her block constructions and she shares it freely. She is the best at what she does.

Or go to the website and order a copy. Would it violate copyright to send even one page?

I've seen other people ask for a pattern from a magazine before. It must be "pick on me day".

Sending the original pages are okay but copying the pages to send would not be okay.

they aren't picking on you. they are trying to help you.

they know that asking for bootleg copies or offering bootleg copies is forbidden here at the board. they didn't want you to get in trouble.

i can't catch every violation. those who've made innocent mistakes, as it is in this case, get a little "tsk tsk tsk" and we move on. soooooooo not the drama.

    tsk tsk tsk
    moving on

    ;-)

That's a cute pattern. Though it really looks like a simplified 9 patch to me.

I've actually made this design using a bunch of charm squares. There are fewer seams in her method if you're cutting fabric but charms squares work well too. I like the design so well that I'm planning on making another.
