No, I'm not asking if you are an angel. There is a FMQ accessory called the Halo that I'm thinking about purchasing online. Just looking for reviews before I drop $ on it. Tia

Yes I have one. I purchased it because I wanted to still quilt after a wrist operation. It worked for me as I could use my right hand to direct and move it about whilst just my fingers on the operated left hand rested on the edge. You have to be careful how close to the halo you get. You lose about an inch all round inside the halo to quilting. I have not used it since I now have two fit hands.
the cost of £21.45 was a minimal amount for me to use to purchase a tool which kept me quilting during my 12 week time of the operation.kept me from going insane as I couldn't do 1/4" seams as I couldn't do them one handed.
Ps I have also used it as a size for circles instead of a plate.

I bought one and did not have success with it, don't like it and will probably never try to use it again. Easier for me to use gloves while quilting.

I purchased one and used it a few times. It was more trouble than it was worth to me. When I was using it, I kept hitting the back of it with the back of my sewing machine foot. If I did intricate quilting, it might be used more.

I use it when doing small quilting motifs. I use two, one on top of the other. It takes practice to get coordinated so don't use it once and stick it in a drawer.

I use the Martelli gripper ring, which I believe is the same type of thing. It's wonderful; it really grips, allowing my hands to stay relaxed on the two knobs. I would not be able to machine quilt without it. I couldn't say how the halo compares to the Martelli.

I did have one but gave it away. It works okay if your machine is set flush in a cabinet and if you're happy to stop and reposition (sp? ) it every few minutes. I use the gloves now, and recently started wearing just the left one and it seems to give me enough grip.

Like joe'smom, I use the Martelli gripper ring, and I absolutely love it. I find it much easier to control the quilt with it. My quilting looks better, and my hands don't get tired and cramped like they did when I just used gloves.
