Which rulers work best: 1) The EZ Tri Rec or 2) Eleanor Burns? Thank you

This is one block from my Tennessee Waltz quilt. I used Eleanor Burns' book and ruler.

Maryjane is right, it's the Tennessee Waltz, and it's a very pretty quilt.

You can get the pattern free at Quilters Cache. The star is 54-40 the setting block is a snowball block. Nice easy quilt.

I found the pattern on a site from Appletree Quilting Center in Columbia, MO. It's called "Galaxy" by Deb Tucker. They even offer the tools to make this quilt, and the pattern sells for $11.00 pus shipping. Hope tis helps!

The block has had several names over the years but the original name dating back to the 1800's is "54-40 or Fight" a slogan related to the dispute with Great Britain over the Oregon territory. 54-40 was the latitude / longitude coordinates for the land in dispute.
