It's just weird. I haven't had the trouble since I went in and changed my password and all, though.

I read a book once, I think it was a Stephen King, about a little man or leprechaun of some sort hiding in this writer's typewriter. (or maybe it was a movie, but probably a book or maybe it was a movie based on the book--Stephen King's good at that!) anyway, I think I have one in my computer!

Right now I have a BIG problem with my computer or little man hiding in the computer. It shuts down on its own right in the middle of anything I'm doing. Hubby's been working on it. It happens mostly in the evenings. I think it has a virus?
oh yeah. that's almost certainly a virus. please tell me you have a good anti-virus program installed AND a current subscription so you can update it. like RIGHT NOW. if you don't have one, or don't have one you can update frequently, let me know. i'll steer you toward one.

I have 2 or 3 installed, but the subscriptions are expired. (Hubby takes care of those things...I don't know why he didn't renew?)......He didn't get much time last night to work on it. I think he was doing something with Avast this time.
I have no idea why it isn't shutting down today...mostly in the evenings when he is trying to work on it! :(

how good are you at math?

on a more serious note, make sure hubby uninstalls all the other anti-virus programs before he installs the Avast. once it's fully installed, make sure he runs the most complete scan the program provides and gets rid of all the threats is finds. (delete them from quarantine). and check at least once a week to make sure it's keeping itself up to date. if it isn't, there will be a way to update manually. if you have to do it manually, do it every day.
a friend of mine installed Avast after having the same problem you are having. it was easy to download and install, and her computer has been working well ever since.

WELL< guess what?!??! it's back to the puppies, one of which is dead. I made the comment that this hadn't changed since I'd changed the password, and HERE WE HAVE DEAD PUPPIES AGAIN! Well, I know nobody in my home is doing this. THis is the only computer I use, so it's not coming from a library or such...
But I want to know, why...why...why...is it always back to the puppies?!

Maybe go in to Profile and delete any pic on there for a few days. Don't add anything. Then if another pic comes up, delete it and wait.

How do you do that, only sort of computer literate?
