Default Don’t Recall Where I Saw This . . .

I just don’t know where I saw this, but wanted to share w/my fellow quilters. Use “NexCare” clear tape on the back of your rulers to keep them from moving when cutting. It is textured. I purchased a double roll at the local dollar store for just pennies. It is working well and recommended. The nice feature is that it is easily removed if you don’t like the performance.

I have a roll of the 1/4" quilters masking tape in my tool box. Mostly because of vision issues, I'll often use this to mark my cutting lines on my rulers. While it is really fast and easy to put put on the top of the ruler, if you put it on the bottom, it also helps provide a little traction which can really be nice for trimming small pieces.

Is also cheap and easily removable/reposition

This shot just shows my trim line on my little 2.5" trimming ruler, I can't read the markings at all but I can see my tape!

Thanks Suz! I have purchased quilters clear backing for my rulers to make them non-slip years ago at a sewing shop.
I like the sound of the price of the Nextcare tape. Great tip!

Nexcare works fine. I sprayed over it on my rulers with Odif ruler spray. It now works super!

I have used this idea since I read it here on the board. It has worked really well to keep the ruler in place.

This is new to me and something I will try on some of my rulers. Most I my rulers I have now are Quilters Select they have a great grip to them already. I love my 1/4" tape too. It is great for marking on my sewing machine as well as for my rulers.

I have changed out all my basic rulers for Quilter's Select brand. My specialty rulers I used Odif ruler spray, or the tape or both. My Creative Grids rulers do slip on me so I need a little something on them.

My usual mantra - Amazon has it! The Odif brand.
