I've got quilt book's . But what I would like is a web sight togo and get a pattern for just a simple evergreen tree(or a tree to make out of triangles). I dont want to spend all day(ha-ha) looking for tree templates. I'm working on a quilt for my military son. Nothing really fancy, just something fast and simple. Thanks everyone Don-isewman

We are all so fortunate to have these ladies who can find websites for everyone to go to for things we want.

However, each of us has the ability to google for ourselves to find vast numbers of sites that offer most everything we need. I have seen so many repeated questions for things and just want to thank all of you that have the patience to continue finding sites for people who have the ability to do it for themselves. I am not saying so in this particular case but wanted to thank those who have such extreme patience in doing this for others. Also we have this fabulous search feature on this board that anyone can use to help themselves. So many times it seems people want others to do the work for them and I have to wonder why and I am not trying to be rude.

ISEWMAN, please understand this is not intended for you and maybe I too am saying this in the wrong place but it really makes me wonder why others continue to ask the same things over and over and expect our gracious members to find what they could find for themselves.

Some are more computer wise than others so it is nice that those that are help those that aren't.

ok. i'll confess. every huge once in a while i feel more than a little impatient with those who won't google for themselves.

however, some important points finally dawned on me.

(1) it's harmless
(2) we have several members who genuinely enjoy hunting the net for useful information. they get a good feeling when they help somebody else find something they need. it's symbiosis at it's finest. :-)

sooooooo ... it's a win/win for at least two people each time. in my book, that's a good thing so it no longer bothers me even a little bit. down, down, down goes the stress level. ;-)

Sometimes people have done searching and haven't been "lucky" enough to find what they are looking for so go where they know they will get the answer--here. Seems harmless enough and you can skip over the post if you don't feel like helping--IMHO. I think its great that so many are willing to help.

I think you ARE being rude, no one asked you to find anything for them did they? We all try to help each other out. Now I had an experience with a member searching for something. I was on the phone with her and we both googled it. What came up when she googled and what came up when I google were different things, the same but different. I think when we ask we are hoping that someone has a tried and true pattern as opposed to just a pattern that is out there. No one tells you to read these posts asking for help you click on it yourself. Further more I would assume that you would feel NO questions should be asked on this forum we could all google how to do anything and everything, now can't we? Maybe the forum should just be for pictures of quilts. And if something as simple as someone asking a question seems to bother you that you have to comment on it you must have a very low stress level. Maybe go pick up a quilt and work on it hopefully it will make you feel better and less stressed out. I think you need a chill pill or something. Menapause maybe, PMS or just dare I say a peson who wants to complain?
Also if you check Don has been here since 08 and seldom asks for help and you had a problem with it..

DON and everyone else ask away I will help, google and search for you without one complaint that you can do it yourself.
