Rosie the "Ripper"

I am making a donation quilt for a children's hospital and was wondering if you are supposed to put a label on the back of it with any information about who made it, designed it and quilted it.
Could I just put some kind of a message on it for the special child receiving it?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't put a label, probably because I am just too lazy. Your idea of a special message I think would be wonderful.

There is a cute bear sleeping on a moon on the side. The nurses fill in the baby's name.

Our Guild attaches a label with logo and number. We keep a log book of the quilt and where it's donated.

labels are always appropriate.
the label should also carry fiber content- and care instructions...
as in 100% cotton fabrics, Poly batting
machine wash cool- tumble dry
or what ever the fiber/care is

The volunteer office at my local hospital has labels to put on the quilts. They require this rather than a personal label. I do not put my name and other personal information on the label. Why don't you call the hospital and ask if they have requirements.
I always put my initials with permanent ink in a corner on the back or stitch the initials if dark fabric.

I think the idea of putting a little personal message on the label is a good one, you could include date and location it was made along with your initials.
