From another thread, I got this link and think it will be nice refreshing way to use my 2-1/2" blocks. http://weddingdressblue.wordpress.co...-charms-quilt/

Mind you...I have a bunch of 2-1/2" squares from, um...1999/2000 when there were swaps on the internet (aol) for people to make Y2K quilts. Mine's going to be called "why not wait until 2014?" hahahaha

All scraps breed in dark places!! I've made 2 log cabin quilts and 2 string quilts, still not made a dent in the scrap bags.

Mine is worse than rabbits!! My DH just hunts for things to cut up. We have more 2.5 inch blocks than Carter has little pills! (Some of you may be too young to appreciate this)

That is funny! But so true. Sewing together many, many 2 1/2 inch squares is such a big job and then for the number of squares to go on and on might make a person crazy!

Just this morning, my husband handed me a 2 1/2" square that fell to the floor and says, "Why do you keep these?" Me: Saving for a scrap quilt. He: Just throw them away. I pointed to the drawers where I have my scrap squares and strips stored and he just shook his head. He will never understand!!!!

This is reply to Cottage Dee. This is amazing. It just shows how much we must waste by throwing it away. Is it cold over there?.

Lucky you to have a husband that cuts squares for you. Mine just asks if I am ready to get rid of it yet.
