Here I am, happily doing one block after the other as I have time and the other day I started on one called, "Buzzard's Roost".

It kinda made me think for a moment as I am working from the scrap bucket. Well I figured I could find some road kill fabric of some dead something, hahahahahh, I couldn't find any so I used a live deer insert for the middle pic. I was just being silly I guess.

It's just the same when I first heard the name,"Intercourse Pennsylvania" I think I almost choked. hahahahhaha

I just finished the Contary wife block and I love it. I goes together real easy. I cut the HS at 3inches and then cut them down to 2.5 for the block and that make them nice and even. On to Corn and beans now lol.....block #22

I am so thankful that I have both Block Base and EQ. Between those two, my life is so easy.

Here is a tip. Before I actually cut the blocks, I go on the web and see what others have done and then decide.

Ok, going to the web to see who did what to corn and beans.

Someone must have read my mind! I was looking at free quilt blocks tonight on a site (www.ideas-for-quilting.com) and wondering. I got The Triplet. BUT The Big Dipper: Where's anything that looks like a dipper? Crow's Nest: I don't see a crow OR a nest.

I guess they name those blocks the same way we name towns and our childeren as some have nothing to do with the name.
