Double D9P
#66
OK I have been playing and have come up with this idea as I wanted to use some odd fabrics not yardage.
My 1st D9P:

I made the DD9P using two separate fabrics and then by fiddling about I managed to get 2 different twists ! At the same time I am using scraps, the 1st 9 block will remain constant, or nearly as I have enough of those.
2nd twist

That is so cool! I decided to play with it a bit, what if it was INFINITE?
Do the double disappearing nine patch, then use that as cornerstones for the next level, etc.
Five levels of doing this would make a quilt finish of 61 1/2".
I only worked in 1/2" increments. I figured no one will be able to tell that the block has been trimmed 1/4" or 1/8".
Also, on the first nine patch, I did a "pieced" square, just for fun.
Here is what I came up with:

size does not include borders, is only blocks
