Default Bernina 430 what feet to buy?

I recently purchased a gently used Bernina 430 and picked up a couple feet. I have the basic feet that come with and an open toe, the 1/4" with the flange, and open toe quilting foot. I was wondering if there are any others that you all find you can't live with out? Thanks for your input!

Congratulations, that is a nice machine!

The feet that I love the are #34 Clear Zig Zag foot. I use this for paper piecing and applique. I love that it is clear and marked. I could't do without the #10 Edgefoot. My #50 Walking foot originally came with two soles, called the Duo-Sole. Not too long ago they came out with a third sole, it has a center guide to help stitch straight along a seams or the edge. I was happy to add that to my collection.

I agree on the #10 Edgefoot and I also like the #20 foot as well, mine came with 6 feet I've got the 550QE along with the Walking Foot and the Stitch Regulator, but I bought these 2 feet we were using them in the Bernina Academy class. You should check and see if your LQS offers any classes on getting used to the Bernina I have found it extremely helpful.

I have a 430 also...and I love it. I agree with the other suggestions but my favorite, indispensable foot is the walking foot. I use it and the 1/4 quilting foot the most.

If you sew garments, you'll want a #10, the edge stitch foot. I use it all the time! For other feet, it really depends on what you sew. If you only do quilting, you'll want the feet you have and a walking foot. Get the real Bernina walking foot, not an imitation. It is expensive but works extremely well. I've been using mine for almost 20 years and it still keeps things humming. If you do garment or home dec sewing, there is a whole collection of feet you might want - zippers, binding, pintucks, flat fell, bulky overlock, etc. You probably know which ones you would use.

You might want to check eBay for feet. I noticed the walking foot and the 1/4 one for a lot less than I paid at the dealer.
