Double Wedding Ring--What happened to them?

I am working on a Double Wedding Ring quilt right now. I used a pattern from an old quilt book and traced the pieces, then cut them by hand. My grandmother taught me to quilt and that is the only way I know how to do it.

I've used both the John Flynn and the Marti Michell methods. Either will work fine but I think the MM method might be a little less difficult for you if you've never made them before. You could order her templates direct from Marti Michell (just google her name and her website will come up) or you can also find them at Amazon.com or maybe even your own quilt shop. Good luck. I've made three large DWR's with the JF method and three California King size with the MM method. Both are great.

I use John Flynns templates and pattern book and find it's pretty easy to do. Take some time obviously as it is not a nine patch you're working with but they come out wonderful. Here is the addy to his site:
