I have started one. It's not that hard.

Go to Missouri Quilts and watch their free demo on making a dresden plate. It is much easier. The ruler is only $7.95 and I just finished cutting and sewing over 50 plates that I will be using for 2 quilts.

I've always admired a Dresden Plate but thought it far outside of my rhealm.....NOT ! Watched the Mo. Tute more than once, bought a ruler and on Sat. put together a 20 blade plate and was so impressed with myself.....just got the blades sewn together....also cut out enough blades to make 2 smaller plates to go on either side of the larger blade for a wall hanging.

I liked what Kaye Wood did by not sewing the pointed ends of the plate down.....like that they are not secure and give the plate a bit of dimension.......

My next hurdle will be making the center medallions......not familiar with wonder under but will be by dark !
