I did my first Dresden Plate this afternoon. I LOVED it!! Problem is, I don't like the center part, having to hand stitch it. I know I could try to machine stitch it, but I'm not very good at sewing in circles yet. Is there a cheater way to get the center attached?

Thanks.

I didn't stitch the circle on. I didn't know you where supposed to. Maybe if you have a blanket stitch that might work?

How about a little spray glue or iron on to help ? Did you look at the tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt Co site?

I know, I know. lol I just need to sit down and practice it with my machine. It will look so much better than my handstitching. What is a satin stitch?

I'm "cheating" and using yo-yo's!
I love the Dresden plate pattern but am terrified of applique.
This was my solution.
