Love your idea, it reminds me of zinnias growing in the garden. Green stems and leaves and brown or tan at the bottom is a wonderful idea. Perhaps two flowers could overlap a little for variety.

I love it and the butterflies will look just great. You've given me some ideas for the future. Looks great

Fun project. Keep going. I hope you find your green. I will be anxious to see the next step or the finished project.

Lovely piecing on your dresdens. Keep posting as you go along; you've got a pretty piece there.

You could use rickrack for the stems, and baby rickrack down the center of the leaves if they're big enough.
I would use more than 1 color for the dresden centers. You could do some with buttons, depending on what the quilt is
to be used for. It's going to look really nice. There is a Twister pattern out there that looks a lot like yours.

Please show us the finished results. I love your start and it will be a fun, bright quilt for someone. Wish it was for me.

I like the idea of green at the bottom and different shades of green rick rack for the stems. You could use large Dresden blades for the leaves. I suggest using different shades of yellow for the Dresden centers. If you could find some yellow and black striped fabric, you could try to make some bumblebees.

It's a pretty and fun quilt. I look forward to seeing pictures when it's finished.
